¡Hola me llamo Aleida! I’m a young Chicana aspiring to become a powerful web developer and leader in technical education. I’m a rising junior at Georgetown University studying Computer Science with a minor in Statistics. My love for technology has made me passionate about using computer science in creative and unique intersections with other fields such as music, data, and/or education. On campus, I’m a Co-Director for Hoya Hacks, Georgetown University’s inaugural hackathon, President of the Georgetown Computer and Electronics Club, Tech Director of Georgetown Radio, and a Georgetown Community Scholar.
For Summer 2018, I’ll be joining Codecademy as a Curriculum Development Fellow, where I will be working on improving and creating new ways to make their online technical education platform more accessible to all communities!
