Students today are interested in careers in law enforcement, forensics, homeland security, law, investigations, corrections and dispatching, to name just a few. The Law, Public Safety, Correction and Security Cluster has all this and more! Whether you are a new teacher or one who has been teaching for years, this cluster page is for you. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the forecast for the homeland security industry is growth from $40 billion in 2004 to $180 billion in 2015. Since many of the personnel for homeland security positions are recruited from existing cluster occupations, the result will be an increasing growth in jobs. With new certifications and skills being discovered every day to better prepare students for these jobs, this is the place to come to find the material you need to be the best teacher that you can be, regardless of which Law, Public Safety, Corrections or Security course you are teaching.
