VEX Robotics Team #1:

  • Edgar Mejia
  • Manolo Alvarez
  • Anahi Barron
  • David Orozco
  • Roberto Rodriguez
  • Juan Gomez
  • Dante Salgado

VEX Robotics Team #2:

  • Edgar Mejia
  • Manolo Alvarez
  • Anahi Barron
  • David Orozco
  • Roberto Rodriguez
  • Juan Gomez
  • Dante Salgado

Outcome

Leading our teams were the captains for Veterans Memorial Team #1 and #2: Edgar Mejia and Jaime Hernandez. With over fifteen teams participating in the event, it was a hard battle for our two teams to win. As the competition began Veterans Memorial Team #1 took first place, slowly beating out their competition. As the competition continued Veterans Memorial Team #2 found a spot on the bottom of the leaderboard, but not for long. As the competition continued, Team #1 lost their 1st place rank, but remained at the top as the 4th place team. As the Alliance battles continued, our two teams maintained their high status and eventually moved on to the Elimination round.

Special thanks goes out to Hanna’s robots for selecting us and giving us such a great opportunity to win a trophy! Along with this, multiple awards were given out for Best Sportsmanship, Most Spirited Robot, Volunteer of the Year, and Best Design. Overall both our teams did an amazing job at our VEX Competition, great job Veterans TSA! Now it’s time to work harder and improve for state competition!
